World Land Trust - Wildlife Conservation Charity
The World Land Trust is a registered UK charity that fundraises for international project partners to purchase and protect rainforest and other wildlife habitats. The website is an information resource, with regular news blogs, webcams streaming live from the rainforest, an art gallery, a monthly eBulletin, eCards, and a donation system. The majority of the site is organised in a Drupal Content Management System. The Trust also has an Ecosystem Services team with a separate WordPress website.
How Plants Tell the Time - Plant Sciences, University of Cambridge
This site is an education tool aimed at children who are learning about plant circadian biology. It explains how and why plants can tell the time and is layed out to look like a textbook. Included are several Flash animations and embeded movies to make the learning process fun and easily understandable. It is hosted by the University of Cambridge and supports work carried out at the Department of Plant Sciences. This site went live April 2010.
